Our final full day at Bewerley is coming to an end... We can't quite believe where the time has gone! As ever, the children have been fantastic and all had an action-packed day.

Group 1 spent the morning at Brimham Rocks, where the weather was perfect for bouldering and traversing, not to mention squeezing through the smallest of gaps! The afternoon involved a Treasure Quest which saw the children getting in touch with nature and building orienteering skills, knowledge and trust.

Group 2 learned the art of fire craft and den building this morning, (including toasting marshmallows and making hot chocolate) followed by their Brimham experience this afternoon. Mrs Pugh was extremely impressed with their boulder jumping skills!

Finally, group 3 ventured onto the High Ropes this morning - the achievements undertaken here were just brilliant! - then had a fun swimming session this afternoon - with the whole of the local pool to themselves! Bliss!

This evening, we began preparations for leaving tomorrow, before sharing a fun movie night together and the usual supper of hot chocolate. We are now back in the dorms and are settled in for the night.

All of the children have really challenged themselves this week and achieved important personal (and team) goals. It has been a time of great resilience and self-reflection. I am incredibly proud of how well they have encouraged one another and persevered when something has seemed outside of their comfort zone. We've talked a lot this week about reaching the point when our minds at first say 'no way!', but then taking that extra step forward to push just that little further... I think it's fair to say that all of the children have done just that. They are amazing and should leave Bewerley tomorrow with their heads held high.

See you all soon...
