Year 6 busy bees

As you can imagine, year 6 have had quite the busy couple of weeks - both in the run up to SATs and afterwards.

We've been investigating how exercise affects our heart rate, creating freeze frames from the Greek myth 'King Midas and the Golden Touch', working in teams to solve a multitude of Maths problems, devouring croissants and fruit and making some of the most incredible Lambananas I have ever seen! At the end of a long couple of weeks, we finally managed to let our hair down in Embsay Park. This week in Science, we have been learning about our digestive system - the children had fun measuring out approximately how long our small intestines are! Quite the surprise for most!

We have also spent quite a bit of time writing very impressive poems and reworked myths recently - pictures to follow!

I'd like to say a HUGE well done to you all... You have been fantastic over the past couple of weeks and truly deserving of a massive pat on the back. Thank you for being so wonderful and giving it your all!
