Dear Parents, carers and friends
As we come to the end of another school year, the governors wanted to take the opportunity to write to you all to celebrate another fantastic year. We have seen some brilliant results, in some cases even better than we hoped for. We should be immensely proud of all the children.
We started the school year with some uncertainty around the pandemic and the children responded amazingly to this and settled back into school life making the best of the situation they were facing. It was brilliant to see the return of so many things we have missed and it was lovely to see the excitement and fun this brought back to the children’s learning and the opportunities it created for the children to share their learning with you.
Whilst school has been able to return (largely) to a way of learning we knew before the pandemic took hold of the country, this has not happened easily and we wanted to use this as an opportunity to thank you for your patience and support whilst we have worked through some really tricky issues and for the sacrifices we know you have made. We also wanted to use this opportunity to thank all the colleagues in school who have made it possible for learning to move “back to normal”. Colleagues have made enormous personal sacrifices and gone above and beyond to make sure children are safe and able to have fun again.
We will be saying goodbye to Year 6 children as they end this adventure and start a new chapter in Year 7. We wish them all the best. We will be welcoming new children to Reception and in some cases new parents and I know we will make them all feel very welcome. We will also be saying goodbye to some really great colleagues and they too will be sadly missed. We will however be welcoming new colleagues who will learn with the children as we develop the school and take it forward into the new school year.
We hope you all have a fantastic summer whatever you are doing and look forward to seeing you all in the new school year. Thank you again for all your support and thank you to all the colleagues in school.
