Dear Parents and Carers,
Year 1
Year 1 children will be asked to complete the following homework:
* A numeracy activity
* A literacy activity
* Weekly spellings which will be assessed on a Friday
Homework and spellings will be sent out every Friday. The homework will be due back on Thursday the following week, but please send their homework book back in as soon as they have completed it so that we can get them ready for the next week. Homework will be linked to what we are doing in class or to consolidate their learning. Their spellings will be sent in their yellow spelling books so that you will be able to see how many they got right from the previous week. Please make sure that these are sent in every Friday for their spelling test.
Show and tell will be on Fridays but please only send in items that can fit in their bags to stay in the cloakroom for the day. Please don’t send in items that are very fragile.
