Dear Parents of Year 5 Children
Year 6 Residential to Bewerley Park 2023
The children in Year 6 have the opportunity of spending five days at Bewerley Park, near Pateley Bridge. Bewerley Park is a centre for outdoor education, offering a wide range of different activities. We have taken the Year 6 children to the centre for the last eighteen years and feel that they have enjoyed and benefited from their stay there. The visit provides them with a valuable experience of living and working together, as well as inspiring the children to step outside their comfort zone and explore their potential through outdoor learning.
The visit will take place from Monday 23rd October until Friday 27th October 2023. We will be holding an evening meeting in the summer term of Year 5 to provide further details of the visit and to give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. However, if you have any queries at this stage, please do not hesitate to come and see me. I will speak to all the Year 5 pupils next half term, which will give them the opportunity to ask questions and know what to expect.
Payment for this visit will not be due in full until 8th September; however, we have set up a payment option on ParentPay for those who would like to pay by instalments beforehand. The cost per child will be £462.50. To book a place and consent to your child attending this residential visit, please pay your deposit of £46 via ParentPay before Friday 24th February 2023.
Paying this deposit constitutes an agreement by you to pay the balance prior to 8th September 2023. If you may have difficulty in doing so please speak to me as soon as possible as grants can be applied for from local charities for families who may be experiencing financial difficulties.
This is a North Yorkshire County Council Residential Visit and cancellations are payable as follows:

By paying the deposit for your child you agree to paying any individual cancellation charges that are invoiced to the school.
