Message from North Yorkshire Police

To whom it may concern,

North Yorkshire Police are currently promoting the use of the Community Messaging Scheme as per the postcard attached.

We are encouraging members of the public and organisations to sign up for this which will enable people to be kept informed about any local crime and also community news in your area regarding events.

This is a useful source of information to help keep you informed of what is happening and also for ourselves to be made aware of issues by giving feedback.

All details are on the attached card regarding how to sign up and hope you will do so and also let you friends and colleagues know about it.

NYP are also wanting people to join the Independent Advisory Groups

The primary role of an Independent Advisory Group (IAG) is to act as a ‘critical friend’ to the Police. IAGs were created to challenge conventional thinking, to give an independent perspective on issues and to work as genuine partners with the Police to inform improvements in service delivery.
