We had our biggest turn out yet for the final race in the Keighley and Craven cross country school league. The race took place on Tuesday afternoon on the playing fields at Marley just outside Keighley. The course was flat and relatively short - one big lap of the playing field for Years 3-4 and one small lap followed by the big lap for Years 5-6. This required a flat speed that suited the football players but maybe didn’t favour the endurance athletes! As well as impressive individual performances there were some notable team results with Embsay primary school finishing 1st out of 16 primary schools in the Year 3-4 boys race and 4th out of 10 schools in the Year 5-6 girls race. As always, there was fantastic team spirit with lots of cheering and support for one another
