In Reception we love stories by Julia Donaldson so it was a lovely treat for us all on Friday afternoon to join Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler in a 'Scholastic Schools Live' event as they introduced their new story, 'The Baddies.'
Firstly, we listened to Julia Donaldson as she introduced herself and Axel Scheffler. We then watched intently as Axel Scheffler drew the three 'Baddies' from the story - a witch, a ghost and a troll. We thought that he was a "good draw-er!" Next, we listened carefully to Julia Donaldson as she read the story of 'The Baddies' to us. We thought it was a good story! FInally, we listened to, and some of us joined in with, Julia Donaldson singing two songs about a 'Baddie' (the Highway Rat) and a 'Goodie' (Superworm) from two of her other storybooks.
What a special treat it was for us all, especially on such a soggy Friday afternoon!
