Reading and Writing Composition.

We will begin this term by writing a factual description of one of the planets in our solar system.  After watching, discussing and summarising a short award winning film about space, we will write a first person narrative to tell the story from the point of view of one of the characters.  Our poetry work is based on a Pie Corbett poem about The Moon. The children will work with extended noun phrases, metaphor and simile to create their own version of the poem. We will end the half term by describing key characters from Alice in Wonderland before developing a character of our own and writing them into a new chapter for the book.
