We went to Bolton Abbey to learn about trees. We learnt about why trees are important. Then we identified the trees common to Bolton Abbey - Ash, Horse Chestnut, Copper Beech and Oak. We looked at the leaves and seeds of these trees. We also measured the trunk of trees with arms and hands to estimate how old the trees were.
