Dear parent,
As it is National Numeracy Day on Wednesday 17th May, 2023, I am organising a Maths day for the children at Embsay Primary School to celebrate the use of Maths in our everyday lives and highlight its importance.
I would very much like to hear from any adults who use Maths in their daily lives, particularly in their work. If you could send me an email via the school office, briefly describing for the children how you use Maths or how important Maths is in your job / your everyday life then I can share it with the children on the day. It will be really exciting for them to see just how much we all rely on Maths and how we are constantly using it throughout our lives, often without even realising it.
