Year 3 Chocolate Day! - Thursday 25th May
This half term we have been learning about the Mayans. They are well known for their love of chocolate. To celebrate this we are having a chocolate themed day on Thursday 25th May. The children will be making truffles, designing chocolate art, taking part in a blind taste test and playing a chocolate themed game.
Under the terms of the Education Reform Act 1988 the school is not allowed to make a charge for this activity, but we are permitted to ask for contributions and the governors have authorised us to do so. I am sure you will understand that we can not afford to pay for this visit from within the funds available to us so may I ask you, therefore, if you would be willing to make a voluntary contribution of £1. No child will be excluded if his or her parent does not make the contribution; however, if insufficient funds are received then, regrettably, the activity will not go ahead. The preferred payment is through ParentPay. When using this online payment system you are automatically consenting to your child participating in this activity.
It promises to be an exciting day and it would be really appreciated if each child could contribute by Monday 22nd May.
