As part of our Anglo Saxons topic we discussed the life and legacy of Alfred the Great. We created medieval style artworks to tell his story through seven key events. His early life as a scholar, his coronation, his defeat by the Vikings, him going into hiding, his gathering an new army and defeating the Vikings, him converting the Viking leader Guthrum to Christianity and finally, him building England's first navy.
