I would like you to complete a short research project about the 1960s. Try to interview someone you know who experienced life in the 1960s. What was their experience like? Think about the type of questions you could ask and information they will help you to find out about.

Using your interviewee’s answers and additional research, create a mini project we could share and put on display about the 1960s. You might find it helpful to ask/find out about:

• everyday life/home/school

• food and drink

• toys and leisure time - holidays/television/entertainment

• music

• ‘The Space Race’

• How life in the 1960s compares to life today.
