In the afternoon, we worked with Mrs Ralph who is an engineer to investigate how helicopters moved and flew, before we made our own spinning paper ones. We then went outside to test some motors out. Then, Mrs Webber from Skipton Academy showed us how to make batteries, using copper coins, cardboard soaked in white vinegar and tinfoil. We built cells and had to see how many cells it took to light an LED bulb.
