We've arrived safely at Bewerley Park and the children have spent the day getting used to their new surroundings, getting lost in the odd bed sheet, and familiarising themselves with the Bewerley Park routines. We are really proud of how well they embraced their first day at the centre, and after a short while adapting to their sleeping arrangements for the week, the children are settled and fast asleep.
We've all had a busy first afternoon of activities: Group 1 went ghyll scrambling down Trollers Ghyll whilst groups 2 and 3 went exploring as part of their Treasure Quests. (Photos to follow!)
We had a lovely evening meal followed by some down time in the dorms finishing off unpacking and having a tidy round (the tidiest drying room has to go to the boys' dorm!), after which, the children entertained us all in the fantastic Bewerley Park Talent Show '23! Brilliant stuff! We finished the evening off with a supper of hot chocolate and crispy cakes before setting up the dining room for breakfast tomorrow morning.
We're all set for another adventurous day tomorrow - it's looking as though it might be a rainy one, but it certainly won't spoil our fun 😀.
