Year 6 have enjoyed a number of fantastic activities over the past few weeks and are certainly making the most of their final term at Embsay.

They were incredible at Sandylands when they took part in an Athletics and Gymnastics morning - we have some very talented children. It was lovely to see all of the children join in and find something that they could really work hard at and do well in. From relay races to discus, forward rolls to hand walking; everyone tried their best and came away thoroughly exhausted! It was super to see.

They've also enjoyed rehearsing for their upcoming performance of Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' and as part of this, took part in an Art Workshop with Naseem and Ted from Keighley Creative. They learned some printing techniques to create some stage props and looked at Polynesian flora and fauna to help create costumes for our island spirits.

As well as all of the extra-curricular activities, the children continue to work hard in other areas of the curriculum and really enjoyed using Tinkercad in Computing recently to manipulate 3D designs. Next step: design a 3D model of a Greek Temple!

All in all, they're working non-stop and I couldn't be more proud.

Well done year 6 - keep it up!
